Peshawar Airport Firing: Act of Pilot helped in saving many lives

Peshawar: Pakistan is trying to recover from the terrorism created in the country by outsiders and in order to remove terrorists, Operation Zarb-e-Azb has been started. There were recent attacks on the airports of Karachi and Peshawar. The security forces showed their bravery as well as the local ones also played their part courageously. The staff and pilots also helped in saving lives.
The attack made on Peshawar airport was a strong one. A pilot named Tariq Choudhary was flying a plane of PIA and at the time when plane was landing, the fires were opened on the plane. The pilot showed presence of mind and bravery which helped in saving many lives. Though a woman died and 2 staff members were injured, the act of pilot avoided greater loss. The pilot, at the time of landing, turned off the lights of the plane. It was difficult to land plane like this but this made it a difficult target to shoot. Thus almost 80 to 100 bullets were fired but there were only 13 holes seen in the plane. So many lives were saved by this act.
