Peshawar-Police registered cases on unidentified men for the attack on passenger plane at the Peshawar Airport.
On June 24 gunmen had fired on Pakistan International Airline flight number PK-756 as it was landing on Bacha Khan International Airport,Peshawar,killing a women and injuring two crew members.The plane was carrying 178 people including the crew members and passengers,and was travelling from Riyadh,Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia.
The deceased was identified as Mrs.Maknon(passenger),while the injured were Majid (passenger) and Ijaz (flight steward).
Flight operation resumed at the airport after eleven hours of the incident .However three international flights were diverted to Islamabad from Peshawar.
More than 500 suspects were arrested so far in the ongoing search operation by the security forces in the Budh area of the city as well as nearby.
The funeral prayer of the deceased was offered on wednesday in Hayatabad phase VI
and her body was taken to Nowshera for burial.
According to the Initial Report on the Incident,the PIA plane was hit ten times,however the pilot managed to land the plane safely on the runway three minutes after the attack.
A compensation package was announced for the victims of the attack .Family of the deceased woman will receive Rs 5 million and the injured would get Rs 2 million each.
Security has been increased on the Airport following the Attack.
